Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: August 26, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to AcademicBureau.com (the “Platform”). These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to the Platform and its editing, proofreading, reviewing, and related support services (collectively, the “Services”). “We,” “our,” and “us” refer to the Platform’s operators. “Editors” means independent company contractors engaged by us to provide the Services. “User,” “client,” and “you” refer to anyone who accesses the Platform or purchases Services. By using the Platform, you agree to these Terms.

2. Services, Communication, and Timeframes

Services may include corrections to grammar, spelling, punctuation, formatting, clarity, flow, tone, and consistency, together with comments and feedback. We refine user-provided content but do not guarantee any educational or professional result.

Communication may take place through email, chat, telephone, or other approved channels. Delivery estimates depend on the information provided and may change if requirements are updated or the client does not respond promptly.

3. Eligibility and User Responsibilities

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract. You agree to provide lawful content, accurate request details, clear instructions, and timely responses.

You remain responsible for reviewing the final text, deciding how it is used, and complying with applicable laws and institutional rules.

4. Responsible Use and Intellectual Property

You may not use the Services for unlawful, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or rights-infringing purposes.

You retain ownership of content you provide and grant us permission to use it only as necessary to deliver the Services. After full payment, you may lawfully use the edited copy and feedback provided to you. The Platform, branding, software, processes, and original site content remain owned by us or our licensors.

5. Editors and Third-Party Services

We may engage qualified Editors as independent contractors and use third-party providers for payments, communications, hosting, analytics, and support. These providers may have separate terms and policies.

We are not responsible for third-party platforms outside our reasonable control. Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be excluded.

6. Pricing and Payment

Prices may depend on complexity, subject area, the amount of assistance required, and the requested timeframe. All charges are processed in U.S. Dollars (USD), and full payment may be required before Services begin.

Available payment methods may include credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Any applicable taxes or approved additional charges will be disclosed before payment.

7. Cancellations, Adjustments, and Refunds

To request a cancellation, follow-up adjustment, or refund, contact support within 14 days after service delivery. Include your identifying request details, the reason for the request, and any supporting information.

Refunds are reviewed case by case and are not automatic. We may consider a full or partial refund where:

  • A duplicate payment was made;
  • The purchased Services were not provided;
  • The assistance materially differed from the agreed scope; or
  • A substantial delay was caused by us.

Verified duplicate payments will be refunded. Refunds may be denied where Services were provided as agreed, instructions were incomplete or changed, the request is based only on personal preference or a third-party result, the Services have already been extensively used, or the request was submitted late.

Approved refunds are normally returned to the original payment method. Please contact support before initiating a chargeback so we have an opportunity to resolve the concern. This does not limit any non-waivable consumer rights.

8. Disclaimers

THE PLATFORM AND SERVICES ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE.” TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE DISCLAIM ALL EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not guarantee grades, admission, publication, employment, or any other specific outcome. You remain responsible for complying with institutional policies and applicable laws.

9. Limitation of Liability and Indemnification

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we and our Editors, affiliates, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, opportunities, or results.

Our total liability arising from any claim will not exceed the amount paid for the Services giving rise to that claim.

You agree to indemnify us against third-party claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful content, misuse of the Services, infringement of another person’s rights, or material breach of these Terms.

10. Suspension, Changes, and General Terms

We may restrict or terminate access where a user breaches these Terms, misuses the Services, threatens security, or fails to pay.

We may update these Terms by posting a new version with a revised effective date. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect. These Terms and any policies expressly incorporated into them constitute the entire agreement concerning the Platform and Services.

11. Governing Law, Disputes, and Contact

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Before filing a legal claim, you agree to contact us and allow 30 days for a good-faith attempt to resolve the dispute informally. If it remains unresolved, either party may pursue available remedies in a court of competent jurisdiction. Nothing in these Terms waives rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.
